In 2015, I was honored to join students, faculty & admin @RJFrankLobos in Oxnard to raise a U.S. flag in the school’s Memorial Quad in memory of students & educators from Washington D.C. , who were on their way to Oxnard when they perished in the plane that struck the Pentagon.
This is a constant reminder of all the young lives that were lost that day and all the potential that was stolen by this act of terror.
Today, we also honor the countless first responders, firefighters, police officers, and other emergency personnel who selflessly put their lives on the line to save others, as well as the survivors and loved ones of those who perished and whose lives will never be the same.
As a nation, we will always stand with you and ensure that the memories of you and your loved ones will live on.
