I've long been concerned about the high number of vacancies at VA, which are delaying care & benefits for vets. In the recently enacted MISSION Act, we included a provision requiring VA to report publicly the number of vacancies. The President recently announced that he would cut pay for employees at the VA, despite VA staff already being paid less than in the private sector.
