$600 is not enough to help the millions of Americans who are suffering. That's why I’m supporting the CASH Act to increase direct payments to $2,000. Members of both parties & the President support $2,000 payments. Leader McConnell must pass this bill & help the American people.

Let's focus on the facts. The NDAA: Gives our troops a pay raise Strengthens protections against Russian/Chinese cyberattacks Expands health care for our troops & Veterans I will vote to override the President's veto today because our national security comes first.

Our broadband access survey showed that more than 80% of respondents were dissatisfied with their broadband service. That’s why we’re working with the FCC to update their broadband maps and get more #NY22 schools, small businesses, and communities online.

It is a disgrace that on Christmas Eve an attempt to pass an increase to $2,000 for direct stimulus payments, as President Trump has called for, was blocked by House Republican leadership. 1/

Pay raises for our troops and our national defense should not be dragged into a petty partisan fight. This veto threatens jobs in our area, our national security, the crucial work done at Rome Lab, and a much-deserved pay raise for our troops - right before the holidays. 1/

We cannot lose focus, #NY22. COVID hospitalizations across New York State are at the highest level since May. We can lower our case numbers by wearing masks, washing our hands, and getting tested for COVID as needed. We’re all in this together.

I supported the bipartisan coronavirus relief bill, but we must do more. Our state & local govts cannot be forced to bear the brunt of this pandemic. Any future relief package must include state & local aid so our communities can rebuild from COVID-19.

When Sherrill Veteran Chuck Osier passed away in 2015, he was not eligible for VA burial benefits because he chose to be cremated. This week, the House passed our Chuck Osier Burial Benefits Act to change that VA policy & honor Veterans like Chuck.

Our Chuck Osier Burial Benefits Act just passed the House to ensure every Veteran is honored for their service, regardless of how they are laid to rest. Now it heads to the President's desk to be signed into law. Watch my speech on the House Floor ⬇️

#NY22 is vital to our national defense, & that’s why we passed 5 bipartisan bills & secured millions in funding for Upstate NY in this year's NDAA. I am working to build on our progress, create good-paying jobs in our district, & get bipartisan results.

On this day in 1791, the first 10 amendments to the Constitution were ratified & became known as the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights protects our most basic American freedoms, & today we celebrate the vision of our Founders who made those freedoms possible. #BillofRightsDay

Local restaurants are suffering in #NY22 & across the country. Congress must pass the bipartisan RESTAURANTS Act to send them the emergency funding they need to weather this storm. I joined members of both parties in the House & Senate to urge immediate passage of this bill.

Sec. Wilkie has lost the trust of Veterans & the Inspector General’s report outlines negligence & abuse of power by the bureaucrats running the VA. Our Veterans deserve a competent, truthful, & honorable VA. Secretary Wilkie can no longer deliver that.

This is a historic day & a testament to American innovation & the essential workers who got us here. We are not out of the woods yet. Congress must pass a bipartisan aid package immediately. Let's stay tough: follow your local health guidelines. We'll get through this together.
