Any deal to bring Amazon to this area should 1) allow #workers to #unionize so that #Amazon won't treat them as badly as the rest of its workforce, & 2) forego any expectation of state and local tax waivers since #Bezos is the richest man on earth and Amazon wallowing in profit.

I’m disappointed this is your response. We will no longer tolerate corporate welfare, especially for businesses that are hostile toward unionization. Once upon a time Democrats stood up for the working-class, now all they seem to do is eat their own and shill for corporations.

Amazon wouldn’t have supported union workers. It’d have taken advantage of employees like it already does. Is it so terrible that it did not start business here in NY? Demand union participation before allowing a corporation that will abuse its employees for a bottom line.

Our Broome Co. executive Jason Garnar has written a letter to Amazon asking them to consider the Southern Tier. Is this out of the realm of possibility for your district? We are at the crossroads of 3 Interstates so why not? You should contact Jason Garnar.

It’s not all or nothing and it’s not a game. There would have been real negative consequences to Amazon locating in NY and if you believe there would have only been puppy dogs and sunshine in the shape of jobs we have a bridge to sell you named Cuomo.

I have family in NYC. Before the HQ was even built, property owners were already raising rent to apartments near the area of the proposed HQ. Rent was already high before.

I don’t know when NY politicians willl ever learn. Not the first or last that NY has lost out on.

@amazon made 11 Billion in profit last year and will pay no taxes while offering little wages and bad working conditions. Them leaving NY is best for everyone!

It was said they were bringing in most of their own people from outside. Why not put their facility in a State that really needs jobs?
