Excellent news! The FDA plays a vital role in food safety and we cannot afford to be lax with inspections. Hopefully the government shutdown will end soon, and the FDA can resume their full operations.
FDA listened to our concerns & will restart food safety inspections for high-risk foods; however, employees won't be paid & some inspections still won't happen. Yes, Sir, if Sen McConnell would let Senate vote on 1 of the bills already passed in House, it could be sent to WH, regardless of whether he signs it. Worth a try. If he vetoes it, the next step could be considered.
