Stopping routine food safety inspections because of the govt shutdown is a recipe for disaster. We need to get USDA and FDA employees back to work. The House passed a bipartisan bill last week to reopen these agencies. Mitch McConnell needs to bring it to the Senate floor now.

Food safety inspections halt—MASA: make America sick again. TSA and air traffic control issues—MADA: make America dangerous again. Furloughed federal employees—MAJA: make America jobless again. etc. etc. etc. #maga #mondaythoughts #ReopenTheGovernment

We all can agree, everyone needs to come back, do their job, and negotiate a settlement that both sides can agree on. By not negotiating at all, the DEMS have placed the ball directly in their court. Last I checked it took two branches of government to pass laws

Fund the Wall! DHS has documented 90-95% reduction in illegal border crossings where wall has been installed. You cannot claim to be for border security while opposing the wall.

FDA isn't affected but the USDA is. Also, food inspections are still occuring. 99% are, anyway.pic.twitter.com/7L8hqLgbZF
