We just passed bipartisan legislation in the House to reopen the govt & hopefully the President’s message tonight will spur Mitch McConnell to bring this same legislation to the Senate so we can address comprehensive border security and immigration reform in a functioning govt.

I agree, taxes are too high and don’t like paying anymore than I have to. But I’d also rather see my money going to good American union workers rather than to bank bailouts or such

For a government to function leadership has to talk. President Trump compromised from 25 billion to 5 billion. He compromised from concrete to steel. He offered to open the 20 percent of government still closed if speaker Pelosi would work towards the goal of border security.

Her only answer was no. Thanks to freshman congressmen with a 'D' supporting her she is keeping the shutdown going. End the shutdown, secure our borders, support the wall. Remember, a nation without borders is nothing but a land of wandering tribes.

Anthony if this bill passes without border security & the 214 miles of border funding the House won't bring border security and immigration reform to a vote in the future.
