US Rep Brendan Boyle Retweeted Brian Chappatta

Just as I’ve said all along. The massive #GOPTaxScam was not just designed to give away billions to the richest 1%, it was also about blowing up the deficit to then cut Social Security and Medicare.https://twitter.com/BChappatta/status/1052193038620012545 …

(Bloomberg) -- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the U.S. budget deficit is "disturbing" and spending on entitlement programs must be addressed by both Republicans and Democrats.

Social Security and Medicare has NOTHING to do with the deficit. They are TOTALLY SEPARATE FUNDS. Cutting SS & Medicare is designed to hurt millions of ppl ONLY seen as Democrats; nothing but meanness. #VoteBlue

Sure. But the govt will find a way to screw you. They are already moving the "goal posts" in terms of when you can collect full benefits. They can increase your S.S. withholding. The can reduce "cost of living" increases. "Cuts" will be made through back door tactics.

The entitlements that need to be addressed are the tax cuts given to the corporations & 1%ers

To blame the tax cut is silly, Social Security has been on its way to being financially unworkable for years, these tax breaks have allowed thousands of businesses to expand and hire more people which in turn helps families all across PA. #BetterOffNow

CBO reports a National Debt of $15T+. The public debt wil be 96% (Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security) They can't make up for the absence of ten years of corp tax revenue. The GOP slammed the bill through without independant analysis. Now, its become a big uh-oh. Need cuts now
