From the beginning of this process, I urged my colleagues to pass a targeted reconciliation bill that would expand access to health care, address climate change, bring down the deficit, and put our fiscal house in order. The reconciliation bill hits the mark on these priorities.

I’m proud to have been honored by the as one of their Fiscal Heroes. As a budget person concerned with fiscal responsibility, being in Congress has been a challenge. We made some important strides with the Inflation Reduction Act but there is a lot more to do.

I am happy to announce that my legislation to support water infrastructure in the Atlanta Metro area just passed the House! My bill improves safety around Lake Lanier & the Buford Dam while investing in clean water access for the six million people who call the Atlanta area home.

I was grateful to join KAPAC for their Korea Peace Conference, where I spoke about the importance of a peaceful resolution to the Korean conflict. Ending the turmoil facing our Korean allies and domestic diaspora is a critical step in making our world a safer place.

Today I joined Leadership Gwinnett to discuss the federal role and the future of infrastructure in the county. Thanks to over $10.6 billion in funds delivered by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Georgia is set to build a 21st-century economy. Lots of exciting work ahead.

Enjoyed the Diwali cultural celebration in Forsyth with Cindy Mills and other local leaders. The performances were amazing — we have a lot of talented young people! Our diversity is our strength. Thank you to everyone who made this a great local event.

Vince Dooley changed Georgia football. Throughout his 40-year career, Vince led the Bulldogs to win 201 games, one national championship, and six SEC titles. He will be missed.
