    Any meaningful reform to policing standards will only succeed if it is bipartisan. But in the House, the Speaker refused to give Republicans a chance to offer input. In the Senate, Democrats derailed efforts to consider Senator Scott's & offer amendments on the floor.

    Ahead of today's vote, I offered to include an amendment for every concern that was presented. They didn’t stick around for that meeting. This vote is an opportunity to say yes to those folks who are waiting for leadership to stand and be counted.

    It's hard for many vets to travel to VA facilities for a disability exam & COVID-19 has only made it more complicated. I introduced a bill to allow specialized care providers to conduct appointments across state lines so vets can get an exam close to home.

    Last night Pelosi’s allies on the T&I Committee forced their highway bill through committee. Rather than working in a bipartisan way to invest in roads, bridges & better conditions for truckers & motorists, they doubled down on Green New Deal nonsense. indeed.
