Students were aware of that and wanted to Walkout anyway. That's the strength of kids. Which is lacking in adults lately.
Thousands of NJ students participated in the #NationalSchoolWalkout day and the reports that some school districts are punishing their students for their civic engagement are concerning. I am all for the
#MarchForOurLives movement and so proud of my own kids for participating. If the school wants to "punish" them, they should take it and use it as an opportunity for more awareness.
