I blame this entire mess on the misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment by the Supreme Court who completely ignored the passage concerning “a well regulated militia”.

A well regulated militia is a group non affiliated with the government, with access to the same equipment. “Well regulated” and “militia” both have different meanings today than they did when they were written. You are using today’s definitions. You are the one misinterpreting.
