Instead of working with Democrats to reform our tax code, Republicans chose to rush through a partisan giveaway to the rich and powerful that adds $1.5 trillion to the deficit, triggers $25 billion in cuts to Medicare, and increases the number of uninsured by 13 million.
This bill is a brazen attack on NJ. By limiting the state & local tax deduction, it subjects New Jerseyans to double taxation, devastates property values, & puts state & local budgets at risk, & the communities I represent would be some of the hardest hit in the entire nation.
I wish @RepTomMacArthur would stop selling out New Jerseyans. First it was ACA repeal, now it’s the #GOPTaxScam that disproportionately harms our state. Our constituents didn’t send us here to rubber stamp Trump.
