I don't understand how the PRIDE Act deters incidents of police brutality. ANY report of police misconduct should be IMMEDIATELY made public online with regular updates as to parties involved, complaint status and ultimate disposition, just like court cases.

I agree. Unfortunately, many states do not have a searchable database to track trends and identify officers and departments that have problems. This also makes it easier for officers fired for misconduct to simply move to another town.
