Workers' Day has been held on May 1st since 1889 in commemoration of the Haymarket Affair three years earlier. It is celebrated around the world, a truly international holiday.

It is a day of solidarity for workers everywhere. Many of whom are on strike today demanding safer working conditions in our grocery stores, warehouses, and essential retail stores.
