The #MaternalMortality rate in the United States is higher today than it was 25 years ago - at a time when it is declining around the world. It's time we addressed this problem and worked to reverse this trend.

Today I spoke to the @EnergyCommerce Committee to raise the alarm and discuss the Healthy MOM Act which would - among other things - introduce a special enrollment period to allow expectant mothers to change their health insurance coverage when they become pregnant.pic.twitter.com/N8s0mH282M
