Of course you really only went by the headlines. The conscience rule is only in effect for someone who has an actual, legitimate religious belief about a certain procedure, namely abortion. This allows health care providers to not have to do abortions.

This doesnt mean someone could deny someone heart surgery because they are gay. There is absolutely no religion that has any tennent that would support that. There has to be something legitimate in the tennents of that religion that would preclude the care.
