The criminalization of marijuana has done real damage among people of color in this country. In drug use and addiction, we have frequently and mistakenly used the criminal justice system with Black and Brown people, while seeking treatment, and leniency for White users.
Glad to see our state stepping up to address the disparities that marijuana has created in our criminal justice system with strong social justice components in their proposal to legalize marijuana in New Jersey, and I am especially grateful for @GovMurphy's leadership on this.

So your answer is to legalize the drug instead of helping the inner city population learn skills and help them get help with their habits. This is a cop out on your part. We don’t need to release more druggies into our cities.
Their legalizing a harmless drug that put countless inner city youths behind bars for simple possession. Giving countless criminal records that severely limit job opportunity all in the name of the failed 'war on drugs' It's time for sensible drug policy

Treatment and counseling need to be funded through the collected tax money
Everything a non white does to advocate for their survival has always been put as suspicion of guilt,the numbers,so we’ll create the LOTTERY, alcohol so we’ll put a liquor store on every corner in the black community,and now we’ll make weed legal.
