"Hundreds of millions of lives are at stake should the world warm by more than 1.5° which it will do as soon as 2040 if current trends continue." #ClimateChange http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/10/un-says-climate-genocide-coming-but-its-worse-than-that.html …

The ICPP Representative from the low-lying Marshall Islands, called the world's failure to address global warming a "genocide" of his people. There are 4.5 million people living in low-lying nations that could completely sink beneath the sea. #ClimateChange

Senior military officials have warned that global warming poses our greatest threat to national security. The disruption of mass migration, fleeing famine and rising seas, will be on a scale never before seen. #ClimateChange

If we continue on our current track, global grain yields could be cut in half (just as our growing population needs to produce more food) and the global economy would be 30% smaller than it otherwise would be at a cost of $54 Trillion. #ClimateChange https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/07/climate/ipcc-climate-report-2040.html …

Some of these changes are unavoidable but we can mitigate the worst effects if we take the problem seriously and make the necessary changes NOW. We know what we need to do, the question is do we have the political will to do it. #ClimateChange

There is ONE major political party in the world that doesn't believe in Climate Change: the Republican Party. As long as the party that continue to deny the problem is in power, we won't be able to make the changes necessary to solve it. #ClimateChangehttps://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/410871-gop-shrugs-off-dire-study-warning-of-global-warming …
