In Dr. Ford’s case, she has received death threats, been told she is destroying her abuser’s future, had to flee her home, been publicly mocked by the President’s son, and told her case isn’t serious because her perpetrator was a teenager (ignoring that she too was a child).
All this, to be told that her account won’t be investigated and that she will need to face her abuser and be grilled by 11 men who have made it clear they support her accuser, some of whom have been openly dismissive of her.
