Indeed there is no reason to move forward with any haste. There is no Constitutional requirement to rush this through. It is too important— a lifetime appointment— and Congress has an obligation to deliberate, not simply rubber stamp.
SCOTUS confirmation is the Senate's solemn responsibility. Dr. Ford's account seriously calls into question Mr. Kavanaugh's moral code. There is no time limit when making a lifetime appointment. A vote MUST NOT be held until she is heard and we have all the info.
