  I was in the same boat- my son was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma cancer at 24 he will be 26 in two and a half months. Trying to get surgeries he needs completed before the clock runs out and he loses his insurance

  There are other ways to assure that people with chronic illnesses get their medicines. Good states have high risk pools. Forcing young healthy people to pay such high rates that they drop out is also cruel. This young man needs funding for his pre-x, not "insurance."

  I am scared to death. My son was diagnosed with CVID (Common Variable Immunodeficiency ) about a year and a half ago. Life changing illness. His skin gets raw, he catches everything. He takes IVIG treatments every three weeks. Along with a shot for severe eczema. 18 soon.
