This decision would be antithetical to American values. For centuries, the United States has stood as a beacon of hope for all those who seek safety from oppression and a better life for themselves and their children. History will not look kindly on this decision.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1055631703291633664 …

America was founded on the rule of law..you’re asking the President to not adhere to any enacted law that you disagree with. You don’t deserve to be a member of Congress.

There goes trump again—misapplying law—he should know and should be advised that there are rules and laws for refugees coming here—

We need to stop the mobs from illegally entering our country. Go thru the legal channels and apply. Period!

Well said. Thanks. I would hope that this country and its people are big enough to share. Not everyone, but certainly some.

So you propose then letting them all in ?. I support immigration and more refugees, but even Obama said don't come. And allowed in a very little number of refugees. So what would you do. OK to say Trump is wrong. But what is your solution. Open Borders ?

So you are for open borders? There is a lawful process for seeking political asylum to the U.S. There's a lawful process to seek legal immigration to the U.S. Losing national sovereignty and risking security would be a grave mistake.

Why? We have a society based on laws. Laws that haven’t been enforced weakening that very culture. You need to be better informed on the asylum process and the legal way to attain citizenship

If they were looking for safety they could have accepted Mexico’s offer for asylum. They didn’t. History will also not look kindly on Congress’s failure to pass Kate’s Law.
