In addition to reopening the government, we extended the Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) for six years. This program has nearly 9 million low-income children that rely it, including almost 24,000 children in the 17th Congressional District of Texas.

.@AFBaylorBear Your comments are incorrect. The House passed BIPARTISAN bills in the Fall of 2017 to fully fund govt for FY2018 and to extent CHIP for 5 yrs. Chudk Schumer filibustered them, so we had to pass short term CR’s because of his aims to take hostages. #SchumerShutdown
