In addition to reopening the government, we extended the Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) for six years. This program has nearly 9 million low-income children that rely it, including almost 24,000 children in the 17th Congressional District of Texas.

@xoxoxtc Your comments are totally false! We reauthorized and funded CHIP in multiple bills in the Fall of 2017. Each bill passed the House on a bipartisan basis. Unfortunately, the Senate Dems used filibusters to kill all of them. I.e., the House did its job! - 3 more replies

@AFBaylorBear Your comments are incorrect. The House passed BIPARTISAN bills in the Fall of 2017 to fully fund govt for FY2018 and to extent CHIP for 5 yrs. Chudk Schumer filibustered them, so we had to pass short term CR’s because of his aims to take hostages.#SchumerShutdown - 1 more reply
