I enjoyed meeting with the students of Oakwood Intermediate, in College Station, to discuss the importance of economics and financial literacy. I wish them luck as they participate in the Stock Market Game.pic.twitter.com/h0r5BJFuTs

If we are gonna talk about investing young, why don’t we start with social security? Let’s start at birth and allow the money to grow. The system now is open ended. We could invest $1k per baby, every year for 18 yrs and close end the system and lock in the taxpayers outlay.

Start at birth. It would be the same 850B a year outlay after 18yrs of US babies. And it would create an acct per retiree of almost $2m to retire on in 65 years. Let’s get smart and actually solve a problem. Make it their money to be passed to children and heirs. Stop this cycle!
