  3. Today, I voted against H.R. 1. This bill is a deliberate attempt by the House Democratic Majority to suppress First Amendment rights, spend taxpayer dollars and empower Washington bureaucrats – all under the guise of election reform.

This diluted condemnation only highlights the real problem in the Democrat caucus: Speaker Pelosi awarded a known anti-Semite with a coveted spot on the Foreign Affairs Committee. My full statement ↓

“Abortion is acceptable if a mother can’t afford the child!” Makes a false assertion that humans inside the womb are different than those outside. Would it be acceptable to kill a child AFTER birth because a family falls on hard times? No, it would be considered barbaric.

The power outage and the devastation hurting ordinary Venezuelans is not because of the USA. It’s not because of Colombia. It’s not Ecuador or Brazil, Europe or anywhere else. Power shortages and starvation are the result of the Maduro regime’s incompetence.

H.R. 1 is “one of the most brazen assaults on free speech we’ve seen in decades,” and “would have a devastating and permanent chilling effect on political speech,” but House Democrats simply don’t care.

House Dems have had multiple opportunities to stand up against vile anti-Semitism & with each opportunity they have made excuses for Rep. Ilhan Omar’s offensive comments. Why is it so difficult to do what is right? Anti-Semitism is wrong & Rep. Omar should be held accountable.

  20. Myth: It strengthens oversight. Fact: It expands burdensome federal bureaucracy by forcing Washington to run elections instead of the states. This increased oversight is simply an excuse to take power away from the states & create a larger reach for the federal govt.
