Jobs are fine. What's horrible is a multi-billion behemoth of a business dangling a carrot in front of cities' noses & telling them that if they give the business MASSIVE tax breaks, one of those cities gets the carrot.
-
The money that the taxes would bring in would be hugely beneficial to the community that Amazon will eventually move into.
-
Without that tax money, the only benefit that Amazon brings is those jobs. But many people who have actually WORKED for Amazon (particularly in the warehouses) have reported it to be an extremely stressful working environment & the pay isn't really worth it.
-
So the carrot being dangled in front of the cities isn't even a real carrot; it's just a stick painted orange.

I'm curious what Columbus pubic school teachers and administrators think about giving a multi-billion dollar company a 15 year, 100% break on property taxes.

Not really interest in giving a one-sided sweetheart deal to a company that absolves them of paying back into the community they benefit from.
