They’re getting kicked off because they HADN’T voted in at least two years and DIDN’T return inquiries as to whether they’d like to remain enrolled. They’re not prohibiting from registering when they finally decide to participate. I really need to budget my outrage nowadays.

Why not four years? Why do they have to vote everytime?
-
Well, first. You really should. But their motivation is to suppress votes of certain demographics.
-
Nothing in this rule that targets black precincts or Hispanic sounding names. Just people who don’t vote and then don’t respond when asked if they want to stay on rolls. It’s voter self-suppression.
-
Kind of semantics, but yeah

"You have the right to
#vote ... we're just gonna make it harder for you." -
Though, it does make some sense. People move and don't update their addresses. Then again, it welcomes room for legit voters to be "mistakenly" removed by nefarious players.

If u are not voting, this doesn't affect u. If u haven't voted in some time & decide to do so, just go online to see if u are still registered. If you're removed & then show up, u cast a provisional ballot & do what u need to get re-registered. In reality, this is not a big deal.

So you dont see how this leave room for them to pick an choose which people to “kick off” effectively controlling the outcome of an election... all of them... every time

Use this link: https://voterlookup.sos.state.oh.us/voterlookup.aspx … Enter your first and last name and the county you vote in to check if you are on the rolls. If you are not, register to vote and get back on. Then go vote. Cleaning the rolls will not lead to voter suppression or effect an election outcome.

We have to expect all will be done to make it difficult, just push through and let people know what they need to do to get back on the rolls. Get folks to understand the power of their vote so they stay engaged at all times.

I can see this as an issue for elderly/ill people, who, like my father may have been in and out of the hospital quite often and weren't able to vote over the course of several elections. I will make sure he is registered and votes absentee from now on.

People who haven’t voted during these tumultuous times are the ones most effected. Pathetic!
