I don't know about $2.5B but trees are really important. The societal and ecologic benefits are pretty clear. I guess when you need to keep your constituents outraged all the time you get to the point where you're mad at trees.

Tree equity?? Maybe some cities and towns ALREADY have a "tree canopy," or maybe they don't want one! What business is it for the govt to designate what trees are planted where in the general plan of cities?? OVER REACH!!
