It’s now December 1st, marking almost one year of COVID-19’s arrival in the United States. This virus continues to spread, especially as the weather gets colder and we find ourselves celebrating the holiday season.

We’ve received lots of positive news about impending vaccines—a step in the right direction that I’m excited about. Some of the research that made these vaccines possible came from funding made available by Congress earlier this year.

We’ve put trillions of dollars toward helping hospitals, small businesses, local governments, and most importantly, the people of this nation. But Congress hasn’t taken any steps forward in months.

I have spoken with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and we share a common goal: getting Americans and the small businesses that move our economy forward relief. It’s past time to come to the table and create a bipartisan roadmap to achieve this goal.
