  False. It is not the "job" of our police to kill citizens. Demilitarization of the police is the correct path forward. Militarizing police and restricting freedoms is an objective of Al Qaeda. What we have done to ourselves since 9/11 has served the enemy not the people.

  Providence RI defunded their police department back in 2012, I think. And built it back up leaner and better than it’s ever been. Others can do the same. No reason why they can’t.

  Our greatest danger now is heat of the moment legislation and government oversight..federalism is a disease..leave it to states and individual departments to re examine their programs and weigh their own deficiency in relation to their unique environment..no one size fits all..
