Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Schumer have blocked necessary funding for the #PaycheckProtectionProgram, which ran out of money today. Republicans have been working to provide an add’l $250B to the program because the survival of small businesses depends on it.
The #PaycheckProtectionProgram has been protecting jobs and supporting workers whose incomes have suffered. Over 1M loans have been approved, with over 8K in ND. Are we really supposed to leave everyone else behind? Those who are still at risk of losing their businesses?
Moments of crisis demand action. Not political games. And right now, we, the Congress, are failing you, the American people. @SpeakerPelosi @SenSchumer, stop the opportunism & join Republicans to pass a clean funding bill for this vital program—the country will be better for it.
The only rationale I can fathom is Republicans blocking appropriate oversight which is a highly possible.
