In what cases are we supposed to support socialism and in what hate it with blinding rage?

@ClarkGab_le Government spending is an investment from the public. The job of lawmakers is to determine whether the investment will be worth it or not. Socialism is not anything the government does.

So much GOP SOCIALISM we’ll absolutely be reading about all the corruption within it. We’re talking about round after round after round of GOP SOCIALISM in ND. These ND GOP politicians(Armstrong etc...) keep seeking it out, even cutting in line in front of Puerto Rico.

I am in favor of a safety net for agriculture, although I do think there is a lot of subsidies in agriculture that are bad and distort the market. I don't support the state controlling the means of production, markets are an efficient wealth creating machine with proper rules.

The idea I'm trying to get across is that we shouldn't discount policy proposals based solely on labels those opposed give it. If we can agree agriculture bailouts can be good for all, we shouldn't dismiss similar ideas in other areas.

The strongest example I can thing of is early childhood education/daycare. It would be the most fiscally conservative program we could put into action. The money up front would save multiples more on the back end. Yet, that is "socialism."

If you look up the definition, investment in the public, like Medicare for All, doesn't fall under the definition of socialism. There is an incongruity of celebrating public investment in this case and being strongly opposed to other investments with similar arguments behind them
