I live in an oil and gas state, where many survive by oil and gas. It has provided good income and job stability to many for decades. However it came with a severe and irreversible price. They have lobbied our state to give them free reign with little to no regulation.
The energy industry creates jobs. In ND, it has given our children tremendous economic opportunities to work and raise families without leaving the state. There is no better example than this young man.
