House Republicans just introduced legislation to make last year’s personal income tax cuts permanent, adding $631 billion to the national debt by 2028.
This is on top of the $1.9 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthiest and for corporations that Republicans rushed through Congress last year, that was charged to the national debt and our children and grandchildren will have to pay for.
Most offensively, the new tax cut package makes the $10,000 annual cap on the State and Local Tax (SALT) deductions permanent. Nearly 200,000 households in my Congressional District deducted an average of $31,193 in SALT in 2015. This is yet another assault on the middle class.
Permanent? Can you just imagine how much worse the economy will get? I mean,you know, considering it has just absolutely Tanked since the tax cuts were passed...
How can they make anything permanent when corrupt Trumpty Dumpty is overturning everything? This Gov is a disgrace, letting Trump do whatever he wants
They can make it permanent if Congress would do there job instead of executive order from presidents.
