You haven't helped sex trafficking survivors, you've just harmed sex workers. You should be ashamed. This bill will force sex workers into third-party exploitation, and away from vital resources. You have harmed them.

Then why are you going after sex workers? And criminalizing sex work all over again? Sex workers are dying thanks to this, how many sex trafficked people have been saved?

If your bill had been any good, you wouldn't be doing this post-passage charm offensive to save it. Even in this piece, you lead with trafficking but quickly move onto "saving our communities" from "criminal" sex work. Not buying it.

The public can’t reconcile the concerns of child sex-trafficking victims and sex workers when their lives/livelihoods come into conflict in the same open markets. Legal sex work may exist in practice in some places, but will remain illegal without major shifts in public opinion.
