The House reauthorized Debbie Smith funding as part of its vote to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act. The funding has passed both houses of Congress but in different bills. Mitch McConnell needs to take up the VAWA which includes the Debbie Smith Act re-authorization.
REMINDER: The Debbie Smith Act expired on September 30th. We must pass this vital legislation so we can end the rape kit backlog, help victims find justice, and put dangerous predators behind bars. #EndTheBacklog
