Getting #FOSTA signed into law is one of the most significant anti-trafficking achievements in nearly two decades and is something of which I am immeasurably proud.

Congress demonstrated that we can and will hold accountable the businesses that profit from the sale of our most vulnerable and we will never stop working to protect the victims of sex trafficking.https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-prostitution-internet-exclusive-idUSKCN1RN13E …

You’re absolutely wrong about all of that. Backpage gave workers a safe platform to find clients. You’ve pushed workers back onto the streets, taken away law enforcement’s main way to find victims of exploitation and accomplished zero positive results.

If by "proud" you mean "deeply ashamed of" then I completely agree. You should be very proud of yourself for making it harder for women to protect themselves by taking away screening resources

Why is that a good thing, you threw the baby out with the bathwater! You're messing with the independent adult market and giving yourself a hug for it.

The landmark legisilation that makes it harder for women to put food on the table for their families. That drives real trafficking underground and out of sight and further harms victims. Pat yourself on the back, you must be really proud of your strides against women.

Which is not to say that prostitution and child exploitation is not happening at the same rate it always has. Why don't you look at the children in cages at the border-- with no good way to reunite them with their parents. That's happening now, sanctioned by your party.
