In releasing this memorandum and the classified information it contains, Chairman Nunes is showing a grave lack of judgement, and is betraying the core principle that his committee was founded upon.

The Intelligence Committees in both the House & Senate were established to ensure effective and appropriate oversight over the intelligence community – not hijack them into political tools.

This is nothing less than a flagrant disregard for the standards and norms that the men and women that serve in national security positions are held to, and that they both expect and deserve from Members of Congress.
