#OTD 40 years ago, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act was signed into law. This landmark legislation established that discrimination on the basis of pregnancy is, in fact, unlawful sex discrimination. #PDA40

Current federal laws simply don’t go far enough to protect pregnant workers. I support the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act to fulfill the promise of an equal workplace and ensure that no pregnant woman in this country will have to choose between her job & a pregnancy.
