Depends on who in these governments you’re giving aid to. Historically you are giving it to the ones doing the oppressing making the situation worse. But I get it - arguing with trump gets you a new sticker on your paper.
The idea that cutting foreign aid to Guatemala, Honduras, or El Salvador will help the crisis is utterly ridiculous. These people are fleeing violence, poverty & famine.
