The Trump Administration’s family separation policy has left 12,800 young children in detention facilities across the country - the highest number ever recorded. Most of these privately run facilities lack the resources to properly care for these children.
We must pass the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act that I have introduced with @RepJayapal, to end private detention and allow Congressional authority to enforce standards and hold facilities accountable for treatment of detainees.
