The so-called ‘compromise’ immigration bill that failed to pass the House this week was not a compromise at all – not a single Democrat was consulted in the drafting of the bill. This bill had no significant differences from the Goodlatte bill which also failed to pass last week.

There is nothing xenophobic for wanting proper vetting of people who enter this country rather than encourage them to enter illegally and without paperwork. You know that. I know that. I believe most people know that.
