This has been the case even as many other areas have experienced reduced overall noise burdens. The concerns of residents of these increasingly impacted areas are not being adequately addressed.

Today I introduced the Aviation Impacted Communities Act. I have worked directly with impacted communities & taken extensive action to mitigate noise and environmental impacts in the 115th Congress. You can read more about this issue and the bill here

What about not building housing directly underneath and next to airports? A lot of the communities affected by airport/aircraft traffic were built AFTER the airport - hard to argue they didn't know there would be aircraft noise.

i'm always confused about why beacon hill is a part of this conversation when that community is over 10 miles from the airport

They changed the flight path a couple years ago after we all bought homes 10 miles from the airport. Now all flights go directly over Beacon Hill not even a minute apart from each other. The Port refuses to help push the FAA to alter flight paths over industrial zones
