Today, I am proud to join over 190 of my colleagues in cosponsoring the Keep Families Together Act. This legislation would bring an end to the unconscionable practice of separating children from their parents and would limit criminal prosecutions for asylum seekers.
To be clear, the President could end this policy at any time without an act of Congress. In in light of his unwillingness to do so we must immediately take up & pass the #KeepFamiliesTogether Act. We must do everything in our power to stop the child abuse occurring at the border.

Thank you cosponsoring the Keep Families Together Act!! As a Native American, no child should go through this kind of trauma at the hands of the US Government as my ancestors did with the Federal boarding schools.
I was just about to ask for your support of this bill. I’m glad to see our state has continued to lead the the pack in trying to end this vulturous attack on humanity.
Is it common place to seek asylum under bridges and hiding in the brush?
Is it common to imprison innocent kids when their parents commit a misdemeanor?
