McConnell says Senate Republicans might revisit Obamacare repealhttps://reut.rs/2COsngp
-
I mean, are they DELIBERATELY TRYING to lose the election? Does the
@GOP seriously only represent their wealthy donors and Trump? How are Trump voters ok with their elected representatives actively trying to take away or sabotage their healthcare? -
Everyone knows ALL REpublicans are so healthy they don't need healthcare. Besides Trump and Turtle promised to replace it with something much better. But that plan is so secret even Trump and Turtle don't know what it is. It's still inside little Stevie Miller's head.

You’re not going to reach seniors on Twitter, not the ones you want to reach. You need to speak to the Sunday talks, MTP, This Week etc.
-
Actually, they need to do both because pre retirement aged folks have to start getting the message finally that the BS GOP is trying 2 pull now will affect them directly, not likely the people already receiving the payouts.
-
I agree those nearing 50 and 50+ will be affected most severely. Anyone with a job that requires manual labor will find it difficult to add another 5 years to an already tired body. But that's what the GOP wants, work them to death then they won't need Social Security.

I am a Nurse and worked for 52 years. I retired finally @ 75 years old. Times are scary.

My sister is sixty-eight, I was visiting recently and she was on facebook, she was on her iPhone. I told her she should get a laptop, it would be easier to use. She said I don't know how to use the internet,... I said you're already using the internet love, she said, oh.
-
Hate to disagree again, but there are MANY seniors who know how to use both computers and tablets and smartphones.
-
There are 320 million people in the US. There are only 68 million twitter users. Only half of 65 plus seniors have internet service. Almost every household in the nation has TV. Google
-
I read somewhere that 28% of 50+ adults are on Twitter.

No ! They can't cut them! There are NOT entitlements we all have paid into them all our adult working lives! And if the republicans try I want to know how they are going to repay all of us that money that was taken!!??
-
I don’t give a &:!:$,) what you call it
it’s my money! I’ve paid into it since I was 15! I get an earnings statement that shows me how much I have paid in & I’ll be damned if I let the crooked, greedy @gop take what’s mine
@SenateGOP@senatemajldr@SenFeinstein@SenateDems -
It's the republicans, not the Democrats, that want to steal our money!!!!!
-
I know that!!! That’s why I called the
@gop, greedy and crooked. I copied@SenateDems so they to know how important it is to their constituents!

They should not cut Medicare, but they should cut
#Medicaid. I work for NYS Medicaid, there is so much waste. And most of the recipients never even paid into it! -
Medicaid is paid for through taxes. It benefits children, disabled and low wage employed ppl too. We pay more for Corp welfare cut that.
-
If we cut the tax loopholes for billionaires like Jared Kushner the problem woud be solved.
-
if we cut Congress pay and make them live like their constituents.
-
JFC! I’m left of Bernie. Please get your facts. I agree we pay lawmakers too much ($184K), but most would easily make 2-10x what they’re paid in private sector. We need reform on campaign finance & tighten control of elected officials investments. Worth shouldn’t go up $1.5M/yr

According to the US Census Bureau persons with doctorates in the United States had an average income of roughly $81,400. The average for an advanced degree was $72,824, with men averaging $90,761 and women averaging $50,756 annually. Congress makes double that.
-
how many of the 535 members of Congress hold doctorates? 19 House Representatives have doctoral (Ph.D. or D.Phil.) degrees. 22 Members of the House and 3 Senators have a medical degree. The majority is overpaid.
