Correct me if I’m wrong - the law as written doesn’t even say that a woman would be prosecute-able for receding an abortion after the heartbeat is detected. It places the liability on the doc who performs the abortion. Am I wrong?

Yeah. The law redefines personhood and redefines abortion to include self-termination (previously abortion was only something that could be done to a woman, not what she could do to herself). If an 8 week old embryo is a person, one could be charged with homicide for aborting.
