Idk I thought the stuff going on with Chaos Head was more newsworthy than someone's first ever VN after spending a few weeks on it. Imagine wanting to waste time on something your audience doesnt care about because you feel victimized by the sheer existence of something else.

People writing articles hating on VNs not catered to them for the people who are also not catered to and never intended to read them has to be the biggest "No one asked" in VNs. Did you run out of other VNs to talk about somehow? Was the Chaos Head stuff unimportant to you???

People are learning the hard way that I do more than host and judge, and act surprised when I can read words, understand deriding tones, and absolutely fail to tolerate it. The community, the volunteers, the submittors, the sponsors, and yes even I deserve respect.

The best part about Spooktober is all the new perspectives and rising talents we see each year. The worst part used to be the sheer volume of VNs we have to read as judges. It's not this year.

I wish the special up for it made it do more damage. It's only fatal if you get hit all 3 times by it's waves. Being able to make it 2 instead of 3 would make me like it more. It does great at racking up assists though. Also bringing another target on the field is nice.

The Wave Breaker isn't super great, but I've found putting it high up and behind things makes it pretty hard to deal with and hit everything below it. It seems to work better mid skirmish than as an opening move. It's half recon, half punisher for tunnel vision.

Really enjoying Splatoon 3. Now that we have two Switches, I'm able to play with

. Been running Dualie Squelchers and I still love them. Being able to outrange at such a high ROF is comfy. The classic ink bombs still feel great. The Wave breaker is funny.

The number of people who have come in and found work and found talent has been astounding, and it's awesome to hear everyone's opinion on the community. We try really had to make it a space that's friendly and productive, and I'm glad we can be such a space.

So I haven't publicized this event at all outside of DevTalk, but we're wrapping up our very first casting event. We brought in a number of developers with their roles and did live auditions. The response from everyone has been incredible to say the least.

Seeing our community's members make a real impact with the work that is important to them is always incredible, and this was very important indeed. A very proud moment for Lookout Drive Games, NaNoReno, and all #vndev.
