Ash.. just like the ash falling down during the entire siege the previous episode. the episode takes place right after the battle of the last episode.

It starts as ash. But as time happens snow sets in. Thats what I thought because I've seen both and ash doesn't accumulate like it did on Drogon. But next scene there's no winter so like ????
